When conducted effectively, project assessment is not just about the diagnosis but offers opportunities for the participant to identify areas needing support. We propose to carry out an assessment with a select group of young people to help design the website, interactive apps and web games for the project. While the theories and our research provide a roadmap for some questions to ask or decisions about the direction of the programs, assessment can offer options for strengthening the relationship between the project team members and the participants. The data collected from the evaluation can provide a variety of vantage points, which can lead to a more comprehensive understanding of the member’s needs.
